Some Microsoft Application and Tools are required at the clients site for usage and management of Smartstore application. Smartstore users are required to use Microsoft Windows operating system, Excel, Project, Word and Access to prepare variety of document for upload and reporting.

Carlson has embedded SmartStore's CompanyStore solution into proposals and programs for its clients including Saturn, Hyundai, Ford, British Airways, and JC Penney's. SmartStore developed CMG's PartnerPack platform, an online marketplace for loyalty offers, which is used by many of CMG partners and best clients.
